Abney Jay hails from South Georgia and is a southerner through and through. It is said he was raised "layin on his belly, drinkin water from the ol Swaunee River" and that he has 16, yes, 16, kids. He still heads down to that river every day and lays on his belly whenever he can. He is also an amazing tunesmith, a one man band and one of America's great unsung heroes. Here a bunch of his most rare and unreleased tunes, all from his own vast dialogue of home recordings, get collected together on one essential record. Licensed from Brandie Records and Abner's family, this golden collection of folk and Americana comes on heavy black wax so sounds extra nice.
