Willie Burns sure knows how to pick 'em. Since Alex Israel debuted on Burns' W.T. Records, the Detroit producer's gradual rise has also been helped along by Creme Organization. This is his second release for the Dutch label and it's a cracker. First up we have the grungy "A Man Of Qualities", driven by its rumbling bassline which features in a slightly different shape on "Mustard Greens" too. The B-side sees more of an emphasis on drums and percussion than the A-side with the smacking snares, scraping hats and jacking rim shots giving extra groove to the acoustic, acid and sub-basslines of the considerably funky "Angulas". Israel then ends the EP on a high note with the rhode-filled, flute-happy "Colugo".
