With previous releases on Ukranian label Modeight and Italy's Re:Face, Icelandic producer Ali Demir is back with more paranoid minimal funk on the Fata Morgana EP. Much like the title suggests, the comfort of home is simply an unattainable mirage on the horizon, with Demir's paranoid grooves sure to trap you at the afterhour until an ungodly hour on Monday. From the funked-up microhouse of 'Dweller', to the smacked out swing of 'Zwodder' or the meditative polyrhythms of B side cut 'Ante Meridiem' that sound like they're played by sleep deprived space oddities - this one will certainly appeal to fans of the 'Rominimal' style of tech house. Tip!
