We're used to Star Creature offering up authentically synth-heavy nu-boogie gems, but here they change tack with a little help from Chicago's Boogie Munster Crew. "Attack of The Chicago Boogie" sees them gather together some ridiculously rare private press gems originally recorded by Windy City musicians during the boogie and electrofunk era. They first offer up a fresh TJ & Hirsch re-edit of Andrew Kitchen's thrillingly squelchy and spacey "Attack of the Boogie", before TZ goes solo to rearrange J Parker Brown's deeper, warmer and more soulful lo-fi synth boogie treat "Live Lady". Over on the flip, Mister's "I Wanna Thank You" is a glossy, horn-sporting slab of polished boogie brilliance, while Henrietta Brown's "I Want You (Right Now)" is a bustling and up-tempo affair heavily influenced by jazz-funk.
