10 years after releasing his cut-and-paste style debut album, Bournemouth-based turntablist and serial DMC UK winner DJ X-Rated has finally conjured up a new record. It's something of a treat, too, with party-starting Allergies vocalist Andy Cooper coming along for the ride. He makes his presence felt on the A-side vocal version of 'Wild One', providing short raps and shout outs - many of which are then scratched and manipulated by DJ X-Rated - that pepper a languid, dusty and bouncy beat. The quality of this can be heard loud and clear on the flipside instrumental, which does a great job in showcasing the echoing horn snippets, lazy jazz bassline and sampled guitar riffs.
