In an age where blandness afflicts the form within electronic music, Planet Mu seem to have hit a groove for issuing quite distinct album projects of late; see recent outings on the label from Herva, Yearning Kru, Antwood and Ital Tek. Old Apparatus member Asher Levitas continues this hot streak with Lit Harness, a debut solo album that sees the producer working extensively with regular visual collaborator Michael Crowe and Kull vocalist Marina Elderton. Lit Harness is a most immersive experience with Levitas easing the listener into a hallucinogenic dream-like state over the course of eight tracks, the crackling choral ambience of his productions a perfect foil for Elderton's incandescent voice.
