Surprisingly, it's been two years since the last 12" from Cally, a Romanian tech-house producer with a string of previous releases for Fear of Flying, Inwave and Neostrictly under his belt. This is his first appearance on Malonian and sees him lay down three meandering, quietly attractive dancefloor rollers. On the A-side you'll find "Kaldaer", a ten-minute trip into slowly shifting motifs, low-slung bass and shuffling percussive hypnotism. He takes a slightly more positive and melodious approach on the flip, wrapping wavy ambient chords around a languid groove on "Cutie", before rounding things off via the sun-kissed warmth, poolside tech-house grooves and atmospheric background field recordings of "Shiftherise".
