Carl Dawkins played a big role in the evolution of reggae throughout the sixties and seventies on all the key labels for Trojan Records to JJ Records. He worked regularly with JJ All Stars, a Jamaican reggae backing bad who were active during the same decades. This reissue takes it all the way back to 1970. 'Satisfaction' is a still fresh cut with swaggering drums and earthy guitars and the vocals of Dawkins drifting up top like a lone cloud on a warm day. The flip is an instrumental in true JJ All Stars fashion that has dreamy melodies and the lazy rhythms sinking you in deep.
