Pioneering Chicago DJ/producer Craig Alexander has been producing since the late '80s with releases on Dust Traxx, Track Mode and his own Oblique imprint over the years, but seems to have gone on hiatus from 2009 onwards. He returns with a three track EP for Housepit Chi titled Jolly Time, which features unreleased tracks from as early as 1992, plus contributions by Mark Grusane and Secret Studio. From the hypnotic disco loops of 'Roller Disco' channelling the same energy as contemporaries like DJ Sneak, to the spiritual energy of 'Trapped' and the trippy percolator jack of the title track - which truly captures the mid '90s zeitgeist of The Windy City in the vein of Cajual and Relief Records.
