Last year's 3 AM Jazz Club 12" from Dan Shake was one of the most ubiquitous house records released and had a great story to back it, resulting from the producer allegedly handing Moodymann a CDr of productions during the 2013 edition of Dimensions. The rest, they say, is history, and Shake's next move brings him to Bristol outpost Black Acre for another 12" exercise in richly soulful music that will enlighten any dancefloor. Working with Kenny Dixon Jnr has obviously rubbed off some on the man Shake, with "Out Of Sight" blessed with the kind of loose, live sounding drums that seem all too absent from the palette of many contemporary producers. Things veer off into to jazzier territory on the flip with 'Traders II', a collaboration with Canadian based Rennie Foster that pairs a subtle acid bassline with a killer horn section. Air sax at the ready!!
