It's been a quiet period for Domenico Rosa, whose prior 12" to this appeared some 18 months ago. Once again Clean Hands Dirty Hearts sees him delivering a fine selection of groovy and otherworldly cuts via the Imprints label he founded with fellow producer Ricardo back in 2014. The Italian producer kicks things off with "Afterall", a fine fusion workout that cannily melds elements of spacey deep house, futuristic Detroit techno and, more surprisingly, a dash of early UK bleep techno. The latter influence is much more evident on "Outro", whose stabbing bassline and cheery, bleeping melody lines doff a cap to LFO's "LFO" and 100 Hz's "Low Frequency Overload". The bold bass of bleep and the sparse electronic melodies can also be heard in the alien deep house warmth of closer "LM One Last Time".
