At almost 15 minutes deep and with all manner of warming, loved-up instrumental and vocal elements featured throughout, Expositions' 2020 Balearic gem 'Energia Mistica' is ripe for remixing. Balearic Social Records boss Andy Pye thinks so too, hence this belated remix package. Italian veterans Leo Mas and Fabrice, who first worked together at the turn of the '90s, fittingly step up first and deliver a deliciously hazy, intoxicating and delay-laden rework that adds echoing vocal snippets and drifting snippets of vocal, guitar and keys to a chugging, heady groove. Fellow Balearic maestros Seahawks provide an epic, slow-motion 'Mystic Energy' re-make that sits somewhere between drowsy, sunrise-ready ambient and softly spun Balearica, while bonus cut 'Pour Yourself a Drink' is a laidback Balearic disco shuffler.
