The psychedelic odd couple of Alexander Tucker and Daniel O'Sullivan have honed their style to such a degree that their partnership in Grumbling Fur now comes across as no less than a national treasure, and 'Furfour' may just be the strongest record they've thus far committed to posterity - their dizzying blend of classically eccentric British psychedelia, crystalline synth pop and exquisite vocal harmonies has never sounded richer, more resonant or more gloriously psychotropic, with its musical experimentation more than matched my its emotional resonance. These caned crusaders are here to be cherished.
