Although the Krill Music posse runs its operations from Berlin's underbelly, the imprint is very much waving the flag for Argentina's present yet fledgling techno scene. They've been going solidly since 2011, and have had the pleasure of hosting artists such as AnD, Jonas Kopp, Szare, and many others on their 12" discs. We should note that they are a vinyl-only affair. Over recent months, they've been focussing on their Habitat series, where they've hosted the likes of Matrixxman, Ilario Alicante and Stanislav Tolkachev, among others, on a highly stylised and carefully art directed series of EPs. This is the sixth instalment of the series, starring a selection of lesser known techno producers: He/At launches an outright techno missile through "The Roar Of The Greasepaint, The Smell Of The Crowd", "Choices" by Pulse One is a straight-up slice of industrial hammering, Zedje's "Black Horses" bangs its analogue drums to a menacing groove, and Auditory Response goes down a more sleek, acid-laden path that reminds us of Steve Poindexter's material from the 90s.
