Prime Source is a Canada-based label that has previously been digital-only. Now it kicks off a vinyl schedule with a real doozy. Modern funk producer Hidden Groove's 'Heatin' Up' is a delicious slice of boogie-fide disco. It is only his third release after Do You Wanna Groove in 2017 and Funkin All The Time in 2018. But it might be his best yet: a-side opener 'Heatin' Up' is all plunging bass and dazzling chords, crisp disco claps and sultry soul vibes. On the flipside is 'Breakers Groove.' It's slightly more leggy and upright, but no less sprinkled with cosmic dust and good time vibes.
