It seems like hardly a week goes by without Jamal Moss putting out a record - and this week is no exception. Originally released on a homemade CDR and sold through the Sounds of the Universe shop in London, this ten-track release is typical of Moss' dance floor sound. There's the deceptively deep but stomping acid gurgle of "Culdees", the tough industrial rhythms of "Fabian Society" and "Illuminates Of Thaneteros", and most impressively, the heavy, grinding stomp of "Aurum Solis". Like most Moss releases, there are a few non-starters, but overall, this an essential collection for fans of the Chicago artist's distinctive music.
