This time last year, Aussie beat-maker and synth-funk revivalist Inkswel made his first appearance on Kraak & Smaak's Boogie Angst imprint with the digital-only The People EP. That featured two superb original cuts, both of which you can find - albeit in 45-friendly edit form - on this must-check single. 'Too Late' is a fine chunk of lo-fi electro/freestyle revivalism featuring synths aplenty and tidy vocals by Stan Smith, and arguably amongst Inkswel's greatest cuts to date. Arguably even better is Dave Aju hook-up 'The People', which sees Inkswel take lo-fi soul and P-funk towards the dancefloor with devastating effect. Boogie lovers and synth-heads take note!
