The esteemed Jah Works Records was founded by Jah Rej (AKA D. Forte) back in 1989 in the UK, so has a rich heritage when it comes to dub and its spin-offs. This fresh new slice of 7" roots comes from Amsterdam where it was written, recorded and mixed with vocalist Rapha Pico. The fleshy, rolling rhythms have been produced by Jah Rej and form a lush bed from which languorous horns and snaking synths all emanate. The longing in the vocal and gentle tinkle on the keys finishes this one nicely. On the flip is a slower, heavier and headier dub.
