For their latest trip into the netherworld of electronic music, Den Haag crew Bakk has turned to local boy Jeremiah R, who has previously impressed with decidedly analogue-heavy releases on Tabernacle, Enklav and Organic Analogue. Despite his Rotterdam roots, the producer seems more taken with the spacey punch and eccentric themes of Detroit techno and electro. This is particularly evident on the Drexciyan dystopia of "Weeds", and the intergalactic funk of "Bioluminescence". That said, his more straight up 4/4 offerings - the retro-futurist shimmy of "Melancholy Fish" and basement-bothering, acid-flecked chug of "Diving" - are equally as impressive.
