None of us are here strangers to the name Terry Francis. Since winning Muzik magazine's Best New DJ award in 1997, Francis has enjoyed a steady rise to fame. Singles, albums and notorious residencies; he needs no introduction. Mention Klunk + Zilly however, and a few more confused faces appear. In late 2010 Terry began a new label, named after two characters from the Hanna-Barbera cartoon Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines. Asked why he chose this title, Francis beamed "because it's silly and I think going out should be fun and silly". We agree Terry! Klunk + Zilly, by the way, are Terry and his imaginary friend. Dark and mysterious corners of fabric are evident as minimal tech toys swish and swoop around every room, taking us on the winding journey of "Tomoro". "Wendy House" on the B-Side is much of the same; trippy soundscapes drip through intricate patterns. However, a cutting beat comes in and surprise us, lifting the track and giving it a slightly dancier edge.
