Arriving the same week as his return to the Clone Jack For Daze label, Night Slugs co-founder L-Vis 1990 drops this hotly anticipated 12" for the White Label series. Centre stage is a VIP take on "Ballad 4D", a highlight of last year's Ballads EP from Connolly. Much of the layered production that made up the original has been discarded in favour of some expertly chopped Jungle style percussion and there's a stop start progression to the track that will really mess with dancefloors. On the flip, Night Slugs' go-to remixer of choice Helix provides his own bootleg of Ballads EP track "Not Mad", which will please fans of the Atlanta-based producer's own distinct brand of skeletal grime-techno hybrids.
