Review

Kansas City's Sunflower Soul Records have struck gold with this debut release from Los Santos Caballeros aka the Groove King Production team of Branden Moser and Cole Bales. They open up with the dramatic and storytelling funk of "The Chase" with plenty of excellent wind instruments setting a high-speed pace while loose, organic percussion sinks you into the groove. On the flipside, things slow down with hazier flipside cut "The Walk" which is another gorgeous instrumental that brims with heavy horns and plenty of cowboy vibes.
