2014 was the year that Luke Vibert revisited his acid roots in a big way, delivering two impeccably ragged, twisted and forthright 303-heavy releases on Hypercolour. It's little surprise, then, to find the Cornishman rounding off the year with a much talked-about 12" on I Love Acid. Limited to just 303 copies on heavyweight vinyl, it sees Vibert laying down two long, undulating cuts full of winding acid lines and jackin' analogue percussion. Despite their raw nature, both 12-minute tracks have a delightfully fluid feel, with the ragged "StupH" arguably being the pick of the pair. That said, flipside "Shit" is something of a hard-wired killer, too.
Label notes: Third release from Balkan sub-label "I Love Acid" featuring the famous Acid Lover himself, Luke Vibert. Two fully hardware analogue acid jams, written specifically as DJ-friendly purposemakers: each clocking in at a full twelve and a half minutes. Once again, this is a vinyl-only release: absolutely no digital, absolutely no represses. Strictly limited to 303 hand-numbered & stamped heavyweight 12" vinyl, in a black inner & heavy card sleeve. One per customer only.
