The Barba sister label to Zagreb's finest house music operation Burek Records launched late last year with a fine debut release from Alex Cortex's LD Nero project and it's another well respected studio head at the helm for Barba 002. This Juno reviewer is still piecing together bits of their brain after it got shattered by Marco Bernardi's recent outing on Abstract Forms and the irrepressible Bristol based artist is on similarly impressive form for this Barba platter. Lead cut "Picture Painters" is demonic electro teetering on the point of glorious malfunction, and there is a similar freneticism to "Sweet Little Cheeky". Bernardi really runs the voodoo down on "Porcelain Candy" though, an epic journey through constantly shifting electro with laser like synths firing throughout. Great stuff!
