Mark Laird is a young producer with an amazingly well-developed sound. He hails from Ireland and has made his mark internationally. He is sure to do so again with this entry into Shall Not Fade's Killer Cuts series with the slamming tunes of his Random EP. 'Bet' is a throwback breakbeat banger with some deliciously booming kicks. 'I Just Wanna' is a house track for the ADHD generation and '4 Cruisin' is then a nice balmy house comedown that still drives onwards. This versatile EP still has time for some big old school piano joy on 'Woosh' and closer 'Ghetto Booty' does exactly what it says on the tin.
