Danish producer Martinez debuts on Cadenza and if you like your techno to be teeming with bass, this Mzuzu EP is for you! A Chant dub of the title track resides on the A Side with a heavily filtered kaleidoscopic melody swirling deep beneath the sharp low end groove, before inevitably rising to the fore with hypnotic effect. It's the final section when the beat really kicks in which will cause bedlam, however the B Side proves to be even more effective. Heavy frequencies positively rattle the stylus on "Adagio" a track driven by the throbbing bass drum, with Martinez crafting a jacking groove that bristles with crispness around it and drowning the surroundings in subaqueous melodies built from obscure vocal samples twisted with delay.
