Story has it that when Glitterbox chief Simon Dunmore heard Horse Meat Disco drop "The Spirit" at his party in Ibiza last summer, he immediately needed to know where and who the track came from. Matthew Ward aka Mighty Mouse was the man responsible, he of Cheaper Thrills and Mindless Boogie fame. The funked-up disco groove of the original is supported by remixes by Frenchman Yuksek (Partyfine/ Razor-N-Tape) who takes the track down a sexy, late- night deep house route and then, most surprisingly, by UK techno veteran Mark Broom who delivers not one, but two renditions. It's definitely all about the bangin' cyclicality of his "Let's Talk Extended Remix" - which will mix into any Robert Hood/Floorplan tracks nicely.
