There seems to be a resurgence for the mid 2000s at the moment. We're not sure whether that means that those years are now considered 'vintage', or because there was something special about the artists that persevered with house and techno in an era so dominated by the minimal sound of labels like Minus. In any case, Sentrall were a California outlet that specialised in outsider dance music, and this 2005 collab between Mingmad Jimsu and Project Sandro is a perfect - and highly contemporary sounding - repress for 2016. The former drop a murky, twisted piece of pseudo house that has its roots firmly in electronica, while the latter goes for a subtle balearic approach that is simply perfect for the opening sets...or the closing ones, for that matter.
