Lux Rec offshoot MRT has barely put a foot wrong since launching in early 2015. Here, they welcome a new addition to the family, Common Thread owner Mitchell Goor. While Goor maybe a novice in the release game - his debut 12" dropped on Paling Trax earlier this year - there's a composed, experienced feel about the four tracks showcased here. Arguably the highlight of a solid package is "Self Destructive", a chunk of clandestine techno full of rubbery bass, melancholic chords, spacey electronic flourishes, darting Detroit melodies and a sturdy rhythm track.
