In the period since Murphy Jax first emerged in style with that classy Mike Dunn collaboration It's The Music for Clone's Jack-centric label, the Berlin based producer has adopted a nomadic approach, happy to grace a diverse range of labels with his US referencing brand of house music. Turbo, Exploited, HYPE LTD and Clone again have benefitted from his sounds and now Jax appears on one of the most consistently interesting labels currently operating in the shape of Swiss imprint Lux Rec. As the title and artwork might suggest, there are clear cinematic influences at play with Lost Soundtracks, Main Themes with John Carpenter an overt reference point for Jax. The four tracks still manage to convey the producer's own artistic intentions which is what makes this 12" so rewarding - check "Slowly Walking Dark" in particular!
