Opening with the aptly titled 3minute and 34second wall of sound, 'Intro', you could be forgiven for thinking this was a Nadja live album. After all, that kind of beginning screams "imagine seeing this live on stage in a venue cast in dark red and deep blue lights". It isn't, but the energy and atmosphere certainly matches what you would want from the outfit in the flesh.
Taking the idea of noise as a genre well and truly to heart, once the cacophonous first track subsides we really get into things. And by that we mean distorted heavy guitar skudge, blood, sweat and most probably tears almost audible in the teeth clenched, twisted chords. But then there's also subtle beauty and euphoria here too, providing your ears are tuned in the right way.
