This four track EP born out of lockdown for the Dutch DJ is a duality of classic house tropes and experimental breakbeat-infused ambient techno, though still very much a "family affair" as Kofi himself puts it. At its core, the EP is a sonical story of the past couple of years. The A-side focus on others, and on the nature of love, with A1s 'My Heart Will Go On' being a classic techno house banger. The B-side looks inwards more meditatively through its melodic experimentation - itself born from Kofi's frustrated studio sessions filled with writer's block culminating in B2s 'Candy Girl', a self-confessed 'electro banger'. This EP is an invitation into lockdown through Kofi's eyes and ears and is a storytelling marvel through the scope of techno.
