The Peckings label kicks off the new year with this fine offering on 7" of 'Perfidia' (Alternate Mix) by Phyllis Dillon. It is a superbly feel-good bit of sunny lovers rock with Dillon's clear cut vocals soaring up both nice bass work and a languid rhythm that tumbles freely. After that comes 'Perfidia Dub' by Duke Supersonic to close out the A-side and the B-side has another one from Dillion in the form of 'Love The One You're With' which has a more yearning, downbeat vocal delivery that speaks of real pain as the earth and lo-fi reggae rumbles below. 'Love This' is a fine final dub by Duke Supersonic.
