For their latest trip into saucer-eyed deep house territory, San Francisco's Spring Theory crew has wisely recruited fast-rising Canadian producer Project Pablo. The Montreal man predictably delivers a four-track EP of rich, musically evocative cuts that seem tailor made for chilly summer sunrises and hazy, drawn-out sunsets. Check, for example, the bouncy, delay-laden positivity of dub house shuffler "Forgetful House", the restless drum machine hits and trippy electronics of "Smudge", and the baggy positivity of opener "Morning Shift", whose toasty Rhodes chords and undulating synthesizer lines are accompanied by some wonderfully loose and live sounding drums.
