Berlin label Ewax presents here some tight grooves by Leiden, Netherlands based Chris Stussy and PIV Records head honcho from Amsterdam: Prunk. They've previously teamed up before for releases on NYC institution Nervous. On the A side we've got "Material", a tough a dusty warehouse jam reminiscent of Rene Pawlowitz' finer moments as Shed. French duo Two Diggers deliver a fine remix up next, where they take the track down a dubbier and more percussive direction and really work those hypnotic chords to full effect. On the flip, we've got the '90s NYC style/B side dub of "The System" which is as dark and stripped back as you like and ideal for a late night basement party. London's James Dexter hands in a sweet rendition next that harks back to the sounds of Berlin minimal circa 2008.
