Perhaps being the exception to that oft quoted rule about too many cooks, Pteradactil Disco aka the Hot Creations all star team of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Robert James and JB Julian drop their first fruits and my how tasty they are! "Big Ass Biscuit" is vintage Hot Creations, expertly melding elements of disco, house, soulful garage and funk and covering it in a contemporary sheen. Whilst there's the requisite big bouncy bass line, slick vocal samples, over the top rave keys and idiosyncratic breakdowns, it's the attention to track progression that really impresses here. On the flip the deeper jack house of "Clive's Alright" has already become quite a bit of a word of mouth phenomenon, thanks in no small part to the prank call to Peace Division's Clive Henry which suddenly appears midway through!
