The mysterious Romare has been revealed as Archie Fairhurst, a London based DJ and producer who has presented some fine recordings on the highly respected Ninja Tune such as last years Projections EP. On the A side track "Who Loves You", Fairhurst goes for some lush deep house flavour, covered in just the right amount of dust and injected with the right amount of groove beneath some trippy and near psychedelic use of vocal sampling. On the flip, "Together" goes for some groovy soul funk flavour from the seventies, truly getting you stoned into the groove with its hypnotic loops filled with acoustic thump, woozy organs and yet more dope MPC sampling.
