Now nearing two years of consistent releases, Brazilian funkateers Selvagem and Elizio De Buzios tap deep into their disco spirit to create one of the best Chic cover versions you'll hear all summer. Big claps, bigger vocals and counter leads that wouldn't have gone amiss on Nile Rodger's original, "Le Freak" has had many incarnations, but this pays respect in full. Flip for an edit of Elizio De Buzios' 1980 Brazilian psych-funk cut "Tamanquiero". With added weight in the drums and a DJ-friendly re-arrangement, it's yet another sterling touch-up from the wild Sao Paulo duo.
