Following the immense mini-album sized 'Carpe Noctem' in December and the massive 'Mourner VIP' last year, Johann Sorrow returns to Fent Plates once again with another collection of emotional, introspective slow garage jams. 'Art Is Dead' takes the lead with a surprisingly uplifting air about it before Sorrow rolls out every shade of feeling in its wake; 'Paramount' is a hard-hitting poignant track with bold swaggering kicks and layers of pads above, 'Girl I Miss You' looks west for inspiration as we're treated to a glimpse of Sorrow's hip-hop side before 'My Love' brings the EP together on a sublime, slow-house style 4x4 that's laced with heavy layers of chords, choral textures and an overall sense that maybe everything might actually be okay. Art is dead. Long live art.
