Stil Vor Talent Berlin: Tempelhofer Feld CD

For the sixth volume in Stil Vor Talent's ongoing Berlin-themed compilation series, the label has drawn inspiration from Tempelhofer Feld, a colossal park sited on land where one of the city's busiest airports once stood. As usual, the eleven tracks on show are all previously unheard and exclusive, with contributions coming from what the imprint describes as "a group of old and new faces". Highlights are plentiful, from the atmospheric, slowly building tech-house shuffle of Niko Schwind's remix of AFFKT's "Jan Mayen" and Armonica's ear-pleasing deep house take on Dele Sosimi afrobeat jam "Turbulent Times", to the booming peak-time menace of Jiggler's "Rising" and the glacial, slowly shifting December beauty that is Kalipo's synthesizer-heavy remix of Bongbeck's "Winter Sleep".
