Even by his own prolific standards, Stefan Laubner has been pretty darn busy so far this year with an album length debut on the Smallville label swiftly followed by the second of two releases on his own Something operation. New STL material always seems to bring something new to the table, despite the reclusive German's distinct style and defined approach and that much is evident on Time Is Just An Illusion. The usual combination of extended productions and run out groove hugging loops is present, with lead track "Star Child" Laubner at his most melodically enriching. A skittering rhythmic arrangement on "Loop A" precedes marauding release highlight "Knowledge" which you can already see Ben UFO pulling for.
