Sun & Bass Selection 2011 CD

Now in its ninth year, the annual Sun & Bass beach festival has become a firm staple of the drum & bass calendar. Here, the organizers unveil their first branded compilation - a two-disc round up of sun-flecked D&B from some of the scene's most notable talents. While the second, mixed disc from Utah Jazz provides an iPod-friendly accompaniment to winter sun holidays, it's the unmixed first disc that really excites. Here you'll find exclusive, full-length tracks from Dom & Roland (whose sax-laden "Coast To Coast" stands out), SPY (the surprisingly moody "Sabotage"), Lenzoman (the superb "Diamonds") and Calibre, whose joyously anthemic "Peace Organ" sounds like a summer anthem in waiting.
