More dub laden tech house from the always impressive Laate camp out of France, following up great releases by the legendary Jerome Pacman, Montpellier duo Yamen & Eda and newcomer Jack Keo. This time they've handed the reins over to The Black Tone - his last release for the label was the its sophomore release back in 2016 entitled Circadian Attraction. Real name Benoit D, he serves up a bunch of smooth grooves here, like the spacey tech-funk of "Time Out Of Joint" reminiscent of early '00s UK tech house and the ultra deep "Poetic Idea" which receives a right bumpin' remix by Michael James (Zoo Project / Constant Sound) on the flip. The moody and glacial "Afternoon Delight" was our favourite of the bunch - this hypnotic roller closes out this fine EP in style. Tip!
