Still Second Rate vinyl

The second single to be taken from the forthcoming album by The Lovely Eggs, 'I Am A Moron', finally sees the light of day, confirming that the long player, when it gets here, is likely to be a pithy and rather cutting take on the world as it is today, or at least society as we have now made it. An all-consuming, unrelenting system that will eventually eat itself up. It ends with a belch, not a whimper or a roar, then. One of the most unique aspects of the Eggs is their staunch independence, refusing to adhere to the rules of management, labels, publicists and so forth. This has always been reflected in their sounds, and on 'Still Second Rate' things are no different. You can easily hear muscular psychedelia, alt pop and avant-electronic-punk elements, but the combination of those things is entirely fresh, and unarguably vital.
