The small but well formed Excedo label out of the USA serves up its first various artist release here. This one draws together a wealth of fine talents with Trinidadian Deep opening up in typically class fashion. His 'Rooted Cultured Bashment' layers up elongated synths and smooth drum bumps that sink you into the groove while a spiritual vocal floats up top. Massiande's 'At The Core' is subtle deep house shapeshifter then Manuold brings old school signifiers and fat acid bass to 'Esotica.' The EP highlight might be the closer from 'Souldynamic.' It's another sublime and blissed out groove with sax and vocals drifting up top like zephyrs.
