Victor B immediately grabs the attention with this new 12" - his seance in quick succession - on the Spin Desire label. 'Monktalk' has a haunting sense of mod with heavy, crisp drum kicks and sonorous bell hits that rung out into an empty night. 'Point' is another upright, bumpy cut that has echoes of electro and underlying house grooved but a spirit that is all its own. Its hefty mechanical business on 'Scratch Mechanic' complete with muted horn stabs and hulking great bass. 'Vacuum' rounds out with twisted synths and prickly percussive sounds over slapping bass.
