Roberto's Fossil Archive is quickly taking shape after a string of powerful techno releases since its debut last year, and the London producer and DJ has aligned himself to some pretty key figures in the scene right now. For the label's fourth release, Roberto teams up with Frenchman Voiski - previously on LIES - and the Parisian drops the steely, pseudo-acid bumps of "Calyptraphorus" on us, a menacing tech bruiser that builds its power through sounds and bass rather than drums. The B-side sees Roberto himself at the helm with the pounding kicks and effective groove of "Velatus", a no-nonsense techno bomb for all sorts of DJs.
