Following up some terrific releases by Club Midi (Cluj-Napoca) resident Mihigh and Timofti (one half of Audiotheque), Bucharest's Elliptic imprint is back with their third release which is by newcomer ZXC. Esoteric and mind altering grooves in the vein of scene heroes Cezar Lezar or Zefzeed on the haunting "Torabora", some reductionist afterhours bounce on the slack noise of "Roman" and finally "Room" which is the standout track. Creepy and elaborate sound design merges with subtle neoclassical elements, over a broken and barely there beat. It might end up losing punters on the dancefloor, but indeed it is better for those moments of 'travelling without' moving' back at home on Sunday night.
