Review: House superstar Bob Sinclar follows up last year's UK top 15 hit 'Love Generation' with the equally anthemic 'World, Hold On (Children Of the Sky)'. Only a track as huge as Bob's latest could compete with the success of 'Love Generation', which not only reached the #1 spot in Germany and Australia on its way to global domination, but has sold a staggering 1 million copies worldwide to date with over 100,000 of those coming from the UK interest in the track continues undiminished, as proved by its 25 plus week stint in the UK top 100 and selection as the official German world cup 2006 theme tune. Lifted from Bob's forthcoming new album 'Western Dream' (which also boasts 'Love Generation') and featuring the soulful vocals of Steve Edwards, 'World, Hold On' has the rare quality of being both deep and uplifting at the same time. Including another nagging whistle hook atop Mr Sinclar's synths and drums, this follows on where 'Love Generation' left off by teaming the drops of a club smash with pop sensibilities and another lyrically special song warning of the dangers of neglecting our planet, a particularly topical theme right now. This is a record that has the rare ability to cause dancefloor devastation while possessing broad commercial appeal, in short, this is already one of the anthems of the year. A heavyweight remix package starring Axwell, Praise Cats and Bob himself among others provides extra clubland ammunition. 'World, Hold On' became Pete Tong's 'Essential New Tune' in early March. An amazingly produced video (which continues the story started by the 'Love Generation' video) is also proving a hit with Television broadcasters, with MTV and The Box providing heavy support way up front of commercial release. Club DJ support: Brian Tappert, DJ Dove, Tom Novy, Roger Sanchez, Martin Solveig, Graeme Park, Michael Gray, Timmy Vegas, Sharp Boys, Nick Bridges, Mark Lowry, Jim 'Shaft' Ryan, Tom Wainwright, Colin Sales, Les Calvert, Andi Durrant, Huggy, Deli, Richard Earnshaw.
