Introducing the all new OP-1 field. Injected with more than a decade of ideas, refinements and improvements. Just to mention a few: stereo throughout the whole signal chain, Bluetooth MIDI, USB type-C, a new speaker system with a passive driver for detailed, fat and loud sound, a massive 24 hour battery life, multiple tapes and recording formats, new great sounding reverb and the 'dimension' synth engine, an all glass, flush, high resolution display. The graphics have also been meticulously reworked, screen by screen.

Updated with the latest technology, improved design and finely tuned with professional musicians, recording artists and sound designers in mind. The new stereo sample engine is just one of the features that takes the OP-1 field to a higher level. With increased sampling time up to 20 seconds and dual layer mode for instant mixing of the a and b channels or via an assigned LFO.

All with their own unique characteristics and graphics. Now with multiple tapes or discs, up to 8 in total.

By lowering the aluminium body around the keyboard, the new OP-1 field feels lighter, thinner and more precise. with 2k moulding Teenage Engineering have also managed to fit a dual 2.4 GHz antenna system inside the aluminium body.

The back is warm, velcro and bass.

Two soft velcro rings have been added on the back for fastening covers and accessories. Perhaps you want to stick your op-1 field on top of your full size keyboard, or slap it on a guitar? Use the included adhesive looped back and start experimenting. On the right you'll find an additional passive loudspeaker for hugely improved bass. And for a 'no-more-cold-metal-on-your-lap' experience, the aluminium body has been folded in a warm, soft touch, hard cover.

The first accessory out using the velcro rings is the Bill Amberg leather wrap that attaches to the back and wraps around the op-1 field and locks around the encoders.

The Rare Waves Hydronium is a semi-modular synthesizer with unmistakable true analog tone. Its rich array of CV patch points can interconnect with other analog synthesizers to inspire your music deeper and further in the creative zone.

While it is designed to fulfill the role of a TB-303 inspired acid synth, Hydronium is not a clone circuit. Instead it is an all-new design with its functions re-imagined and extended a little beyond what you might expect from the clone genre.

Its tone is based on a single VCO, a resonant low-pass filter, and a simple decay envelope. And as you'd anticipate of any acid synth, it has programmable glide (pitch slide) and dynamic accents for individual notes.

It's divided into three blocks Legus, Neura and Nxpctd. Legus consists of two delays in series. Those delays offer time, level, feedback and dry/wet parameters. Due to it's layout it is capable of generating sounds without any input signals. The ouput of the first delay can modulate the delay time of both or just the other one. What's the first thing you think of when you hear the word "synthesiser"? Close your eyes and think about.

Anyway, for a lot of people, the word synthesiser invokes visions of big filter cutoff knobs, envelope generators, and importantly, big fat-sounding voltage-controlled oscillators. These are the hallmarks of East Coast-style synthesis.

East Beast is a fresh take on these old-school concepts with a few beastly twists thrown in here and there.

Furthermore, you can pop East Beast out of its included enclosure and it transforms right into a 40HP eurorack module
East Beast's oscillator, designed in partnership with Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers, is a part of their 5th generation of analogue oscillators stemming from a super-serious 10 years of continued research into analogue oscillator development.

Its circuitry is not a clone or based on any outside designs. It is made with 100% modern components. This keeps it very stable, and giving it a super rich, and unique sound.

Most of the filters you are used to hearing are transistor ladder filters or copies of transistor ladder filters. East Beast's filter is not one of those. Pittsburgh's whole goal of making this filter for East Beast was to create a filter that's creamy smooth with no dead spots, a very common phenomenon in all filters, but check it out. This one's got no dead spots. From nasally to biting and elsewhere, it's all one large sweet spot.

East Beast's filter is a multi-mode filter, meaning it can be used as a low pass filter, high pass filter, bandpass filter, or a combination of the three for an even wider sonic palate.

The XVA-Sound Engine of the MD900 runs on top of a Linux OS with real time extensions. The overall boot time is < 30 sec.

All contents like Wavetable-, Sample-files, preset and sub-preset files are stored on the internal filesystem.

Managing presets, samples, wavetables configurations & updates are possible and easy to handle.

Operation Panel:

Kernel mode has been introduced with the OS 2.0 of Quantum. This huge upgrade allows one oscillator to be turned into up to six sub oscillators. These can be interlinked through FM at audio rate and arranged in user-definable constellations. Just this upgrade alone would have provided enough additional features to create a synthesizer on its own. Now, all those functions have been integrated into Iridium as well.

Up to 7000 patches can be saved in Iridium. Patches from Quantum can be loaded in Iridium and vice-versa.

Iridium features three digital filters per voice. Two in the Dual Filter section and another one in the Digital Former. Several types are available to choose from:
12 or 24dB and Lowpass/Highpass/Bandpass with optional saturation or dirtiness.

Notes: Grendel Drone Commander Classic Pedal is a unique synthesizer that delivers thick drone tones with the convenient size of an FX pedal stompbox. It brings back the same true analog oscillators and filter from the sought-after original ammo can model that was made between 2008-2014.

The LFO section delivers rhythmic sweeping modulations that animate the filter. It operates the same way as the original, but with a wider frequency range. The Drone Commander's LFO modulations are based on a slow ramp waveform that sweeps the filter. The ramp can be set for rising or falling slope, and the SHAPE knob crossfades the ramp modulation with a simple 'blip' at the end of every LFO cycle. The other half of the LFO section is a unique phase-locked loop (PLL) that tracks the LFO, generating a pulse wave that automatically synchronizes at a frequency of 2x, 4x, 8x, or 16x. The PULSE knob adjusts the depth of filter modulation by this waveform.

The stomp switch brings the sound in and out with a selectable fade or mute effect, allowing hands-free convenience when adding analog drone tones to specific parts of your performance.

Get new sound effects by processing external audio signals through Grendel Drone Commander's filter and LFO, via its 3.5mm monophonic line input jack.

This analog synthesizer fits conveniently into a pedalboard and can be powered with a daisy-chain cable from a standard 9VDC effects pedal power supply, as well as its internal 9V battery.

So it's just like an FX pedal?

No, because it creates its own sounds, and it's not intended to be patched in the middle of a chain of FX pedals. There isn't a dry signal path from Audio In to Audio Out. It can process audio like an effect, but please see the user guide for how to do that best. Also, the stomp switch isn't a wet/dry bypass switch. Instead, the stomp switch is used to mute/un-mute the output and trigger fade-ins and fade-outs.

Why doesn't it have a 14" input and a straight-through wet/bypass switching like an effect pedal? The simple answer is that Grendel Drone Commander wasn't developed as a guitar effect, and Grendel agreed that it doesn't particularly shine in that role. Nevertheless, to satisfy the curious and experimentally savvy, this model has an Audio In, and it is possible to pipe a guitar signal through it with simple audio adapters.

How to connect it

This model works well as a tabletop synth connected to a mixer line input. Or instead, there are several ways to incorporate it in your pedalboard.

If your amplifier has two inputs, simply connect the Drone Commander to an unused input on your amp. Patch in some extra effects for it along the way. Use the Drone Commander's stomp switch to bring its sound in and out when you like.

If your amp has one input, you might want to use an A/B switch to select between guitar and Drone Commander. Hit the A/B switch to select Drone Commander during specific sections, or as a fill-in while taking a tuning break.

Or, depending on the scenario, you might simply patch the Drone Commander pedal to an input channel on the PA system mixing board. Connecting it through a DI box may improve the results in an on-stage situation.

CV connections (3.5mm mono)

Clock out: Synchronize external gear with the Drone Commander's pulses. This port sends a square wave analog clock output.

Filter CV in: Modulate the Drone Commander's filter with an external LFO, Envelope, etc. (not 1v/octave)

Gate in: Has the same function as the stomp switch. Bring the sound in and out automatically from an external controller, LFO, sequencer, etc. Or self-patch Clock Out to Gate In for an automatic loud-quiet-loud effect.

Audio in: Patching to this port mutes the internal oscillators, and substitutes external audio. The external signal passes through the Drone Commander's filter, LFO, and Gate effects. Typically for best results, use a signal with constant dynamics, such as the raw waveform output from a VCO module. Or, experiment by connecting other instruments to it. See the user guide for more info on patching the Audio In jack.

This is the first major update to the Hydrasynth family in a little, which adds a tonne of new features.

The ASM Hydrasynth Explorer takes the now legendary Hydrasynth into new territories. The Hydrasynth Explorer offers the same 8-voice sound engine as the Hydrasynth Keyboard and Desktop, but in a compact and portable battery powered form factor. The 37-note mid-sized PolyTouchr keybed features polyphonic aftertouch, offering great playability and expression but in a reduced footprint. The extremely deep yet easy to use sound engine features the famous WaveScan oscillators, Mutator waveshaping, flexible dual Filter section, 32-slot modulation matrix, and dual Insert and dual Master effects allowing a lifetime of sonic explorations. The CV/GATE outputs provides for easy integration with equipment such as modular synthesizers and the USB MIDI and full-sized MIDI DIN connectors takes care of standard connectivity without the need for special cables. The ASM Hydrasynth Explorer can also be powered by 8xAA batteries for true on-the-go mobile operation. Simply put, this is one very powerful compact-sized synthesizer and controller all-in-one for the modern musician.
